Hibou is a cosy cottage with a seaside feel.
Hibou was formerly the vegetable store and became the residence of the local barn owl for a number of years. When restoration began in 1997 he was persuaded to relocate but has not ventured very far and even has the gîte named after him – he can often be heard in the evenings and sometimes seen swooping low across the courtyard or perched on the barn roof.
The door from the farmhouse courtyard opens onto a galley kitchen with gas cooker, washer/dryer, dishwasher, Tassimo coffee machine, fridge-freezer and microwave and well equipped kitchen cupboards. The shower room and cloakroom with hand basin and wc are to the right of the entrance door.
The open plan living area has a feature wood burner, comfortable sofa and armchairs a TV with freesat, and dining table. French doors lead from the salon onto the patio with stone-built barbecue and wooden furniture.
Cabin-style stairs lead from the salon up to the two bedrooms looking out onto the pool, sandpit and swings – one with a double bed and an additional single bed and one with two single beds.
