La Ferme
La Ferme is our beautiful Farmhouse on the Crozon Peninsula, in Brittany, France.
La Ferme was built in 1906, and still has many of its original features including exposed beams, polished wooden floors and a beautiful curved wooden staircase (which do take a lot of polishing)!
We think it is the perfect place for a group of friends or a big family get-together. There are 5 spacious bedrooms, each one decorated in it’s own unique style, which can sleep 15 people.

As well as our grand salon, second salon, kitchen, dining and bathroom, the Blue room are all on the ground floor.
The Blue Room is a ground floor double bedroom just off the hall, it has full-sized shuttered windows looking out onto the courtyard with the old well and the cherry tree.
The grand salon has three large comfy sofas, TV with French digital channels (TNT), a beautiful wood burning stove for cosy nights and a large chandelier which we were delighted to find in a French brocante.
The beautiful curved cherry wood staircase leads up to a mezzanine spacious bathroom with shower, hand basin and wc, before curving round again to the first floor.
The first floor has two magnificent bedrooms, The Gold Room has a king sized and single day bed and The Silver Room also has a king sized and single bed.
On the top floor is the Green Room, with a double and single bed, and Le beach hut, a generous sized room with four single beds tucked under the eaves (the perfect setting for a midnight feast!)
On the large landing is a big wooden chest full of interesting toys and books.
The dining room has one of our favourite views at Le Rhun, looking over the rolling fields down to the woods.
With a long table big enough for 15, and a dresser brimming with crockery and serving dishes, the chandelier in the dining room offers the perfect ambience for enjoying meals together.
The large farmhouse kitchen has a big gas range cooker, fridge freezer, microwave, dishwasher and large kitchen table.
The kitchen cupboards are well equipped with all you need for baking and gourmet cooking – including a food processor, scales, a bread machine, two large cafetières, and a Tassimo coffee machine for morning coffee.
We provide a bundle of freshly pressed kitchen linens, cleaning spray, washing liquid, a box of 5 dishwasher tablets, a bin and compost bag (plus a spare!) to get you started.
There is olive oil, balsamic vinegar, sea salt and Herbes de Provence to add to your tasty dishes.
We also leave tea, coffee, milk, sugar, so you can have a nice cup of tea or coffee whilst you unpack.
You’ll even find a refreshing bottle of Breton cider waiting for you in the fridge too!
Off the kitchen the laundry area has a Belfast sink, washing machine and tumble dryer and leads round to the rear lobby and on into the private garden area with panoramic views over the farmland, stone built barbecue and wooden garden furniture – ideal for al fresco dining.
We have BBQ tools and grills ready for use with the stone-built barbecue.
The ground floor shower room with wc and hand basin has tall shuttered windows looking out onto the garden.
If you are planning an extended family get together, La Ferme and The Chestnut Loft (Les Châtaigniers) make an ideal combination for up to 21 people, with enough space for everyone to dine together in La Ferme.

50% refund up to 14 days before arrival
Check-in: 4 pm
You are very welcome to arrive any time from 4pm. We live and work on site so if you need a late arrival that’s no problem. Let us know what time you expect to arrive and we will put the lights on for you.
We are sorry that we can not offer early check-ins. We spend the whole day deep cleaning and preparing your gite, the swimming pool and our grounds so that everything is perfect for your arrival (we want Le Rhun to look its best!).
Check-out: 10 am
Guests are requested to vacate their gite by 10.00am on the day of departure, to give us time to clean the gîte before our next guests arrive.
Before you check out, please would you
~ strip the linen from the beds and leave it all in the bathroom
~ empty the bins and compost bins
~ make sure you have washed up and put things back where you found them.
It really helps us especially if all the toys and books are put back!
~ If you have used the wood burning stove or bbq has been used, please clean out the ashes and the bbq rack for the next guests. (There is a metal ash bucket and spade in the wood store for this purpose. Ashes can be put in our large black compost bin.)
An end of holiday cleaning service is available for guests who have an early departure and would like to leave the breakfast dishes and last minute cleaning to us.
If you have not already selected this when you made the booking, please book this by Thursday of the week of your stay. This is to be paid in cash before your departure. Cleaning fee: Ecurie €40, Hibou €40, Etable €50, Chestnut Loft €50, Farmhouse €60.
Children/infants: allowed (and encouraged – we are very family friendly)
Pets: not allowed – we love animals but our gardens are not enclosed so we cannot guarantee the comfort and safety of all our guests if we allow pets.
Parties and events: not allowed – we are very happy to host your party or event if you book all of Le Rhun, but if you book one gite we don’t allow late night parties to ensure the comfort of all our guests.
Smoking inside: not allowed
All our gîtes, the pool area and the children’s play areas are designated no smoking areas. We respectfully request smokers to dispose of cigarette butts thoughtfully and not to put them in gîte kitchen bins. If you need us to supply you with an exterior ashtray, please ask.
