Etable was originally the cowshed at Le Rhun, and was built about 150 years ago. It still has evidence of bovine occupation!
The large open-plan ground floor retains many original features throughout including exposed beams and stonework. The spacious kitchen area has a dual fuel range cooker, microwave, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, Tassimo coffee machine, washing machine, tumble dryer, breakfast-bar style worktop and well equipped kitchen cupboards. The kitchen has stunning views over the garden and rolling fields down to the woods.
Beyond the kitchen, the unique quirky layout of the shower room reveals its former use as the cow shed at Le Rhun…with the 4 old animal pens now housing 2 showers and 2 wcs. Look closely and you will see the ring for tethering the bull still embedded in the wall! The shower room leads outside with 2 steps up to the garden looking down over the fields to the woods. The stone-built barbecue and wooden garden furniture have set the scene for many sunset suppers and aperitifs.
The lounge area has a comfortable sofa, armchairs and window seat, a feature fireplace with wood burner, a TV with freesat and DVD player.
Turn left or right at the top of the open tread pine staircase leading from the lounge to enter a light and airy bedroom with comfortable king sized bed. Each of these two main rooms leads into a twin bedded room each with a wooden chest full of toys and games. Etable is ideal for two families holidaying together – or for those who like a bit of space to spread out!
